Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation and meditation technique that induces deep relaxation of the body-mind with the ultimate aim of increasing self-awareness. The technique of Yoga Nidra enables you to remain aware while you enter into the dream and sleeping states of consciousness. The state of Yoga Nidra occurs when you can remain conscious during the deep sleep state. It creates deep relaxation for health, mental peace and higher awareness. Please bring anything to make yourself comfortable (blankets, pillows, etc). This is a donation-based workshop.

A non-active form of yoga that targets the connective tissues, especially the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. This can be a challenging practice given the long duration of the poses. Suitable for anyone. A great compliment to power vinyasa yoga. This is a donation-based workshop.
Beach Yoga & Labor Day Celebration

Where: Marcinski Beach (Beach Marker 25/26)
We will start with a Restorative Yoga Practice on the Beach from 7:00- 8:00pm. Then we will move into our Pot-Luck party with drumming, music, dancing, and food all in celebration of Labor Day Weekend- the end of Summer. Everyone is welcome. Bring your family, children and even your pets.

40 Days to Personal Revolution will Change Your Body and Transform Your Life!

This program is a commitment to deepen your yoga practice and start living yoga on and off the mat. It is combination of daily yoga, meditation, diet insight, and personal reflection, with each week centered on a theme. Regardless of your level of yoga experience, this program will create lightness in your body, clarity in your mind, and an awakening of your spirit.
Practice: Yoga 6 days a week (either studio or home practice)
Meditate: Twice a day
Diet Insight: Weekly dietary themes focused on eating for balance
Personal Reflection: Journal exercises about beliefs, stories, and thoughts that are holding you back from being your most powerful self
Weekly Group Meetings: It all comes together at our weekly group meetings where we explore the week’s theme further and receive support and guidance from the group and the facilitator.

-The structure and function of major joints;
-How specific muscles create specific joint movement in poses;
-How to teach your students to use ground reaction forces to change the forces across their joints in poses;
-Modifications for progression, injury and skeletal variations;
-The role of soft tissue (ligaments, joint capsules, muscles);
-Proper mechanics for assisting poses;
-Strategies for yoga class design to reduce risk of injury.
